A Destination Wedding at Sheldrake Point Vineyard

We’ve been looking forward to Jill and Adam’s destination wedding for a long time. First of all, they are such a great couple – fun and energetic, totally in love, and not afraid to show it. On top of that, it was the week of our own 18th wedding anniversary, so a getaway to Sheldrake Point Vineyards, in the Finger Lakes region of NY, was a perfect escape for us in the middle of our most intensely busy season. It is such a beautiful area and an incredibly romantic setting for a wedding. The rain stopped just in time for their outdoor ceremony at the winery, with views of the vineyards behind them, and Cayuga Lake in front. There was hardly a dry eye at their ceremony. Afterward, we spent some private time with Jill and Adam for pictures by the water and in the vineyard. Of course, the sun even came out just when we needed it. ๐Ÿ™‚

After a fun night of celebration with their families and friends, Jill and Adam were up again bright and early for a “morning-after” session with us! The plan was to go to a gorgeous nearby waterfall, but it was pouring once again. Jill put her gown back on, and Adam his tux pants, and we decided to start shooting inside the hotel instead. When we checked a few minutes later, the rain had stopped, so we raced out to the waterfall. Because of the rain from the past 24 hours, we not only had the waterfall all to ourselves, but we had a beautifully roaring waterfall! We couldn’t have planned it better. ๐Ÿ™‚

With both of them very comfortable in front of television cameras as part of their work, and Jill having some modeling experience, they were willing to do anything we asked. We got some absolutely incredible pictures around (and in!) the falls. We can’t wait for them to see the breathtaking results!! For now, here is a sneak peak at their photos. Just click on the PLAY button (Play button) to start the show.

Jill and Adam, thank you so much for your complete trust, for the romantic table for two and amazing meal during our “anniversary week”, and for truly treating us like family.

Their proof gallery will be available soon in the “Client Proofs” area our main website. Please feel free to leave a comment on the pictures or send your thoughts for Jill and Adam by clicking on he “Comments” link below.

  • Uncle Mike & Mary Lou - To Jill and Adam,

The pictures are fantastic, and you 2 look great! Jill, you were a beauty since the day you were born, so it’s no wonder why the pictures came out the way they did. You two make such a great couple, always smiling and happy, don’t ever lose that. Best of luck to the both of you, and we can’t wait to see you at Allegheny.

  • Ulysses - JILL!!! ADAM!! It’s so good to hear from you guys.

What an incredible day you had together. We absolutely loved the way everyone’s attention was so fixed upon you during every moment of the wedding day. It made for some really captivating photographic moments.

But it probably goes without saying that for myself and Jenni, our favorite moments were when we were able to take time alone with you two. Having already done something very similar for your engagement session, we were blown away by how well you did on your wedding day. The skies, the vineyard, your ability to really immerse yourselves into the moment… just fantastic.

And the “Morning After” session? Wow! Just WOW! I’m glad you’re enjoying the photos now, but wait until you see them in their finished form for your album and for wall prints. Several of these are heart-stoppers. Truly.

Thanks for investing in the TIME with us. The results will be SO well worth it.

Much love and hugs from myself and Jenni! We’ll be in touch real soon. ๐Ÿ™‚September 18, 2007 – 3:48 PM

  • Ulysses - Hi there, Gina & Mike! Wow! It’s so good to hear from you. ๐Ÿ™‚

Ithaca was such a neat place to visit. We had no idea it was as beautiful up there as it is. And we loved walking through the town and getting a taste of just how colorful and interesting a place it is. We could probably have enjoyed shooting the place and the people there for days at a time.

The falls were a real highlight of our visit there with Jill & Adam. We’re so glad it worked out because they’d planned on this excursion for quite a while, and we wanted to make sure it happened. Everything worked out even better than we’d imagined it would.

We still come up to the Boston area from time to time, so give us a call if you find your family is “expanding”! We’d love to be of help and spend some time with you again. The photos would be AMAZING! ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

    Love you guys!September 16, 2007 – 8:02 AM

  • Gina Bellofatto - What beautiful pictures! Michael and I went to college in Ithaca and spent much time at those falls – we never thought of it as a “destination!” ๐Ÿ˜‰

I love coming back here and seeing all the wonderful things you guys do!

    With love,
    GinaSeptember 12, 2007 – 6:59 PM
