Gina & Michael’s E-Session

We interrupt our regularly scheduled daily excursions to Paris to bring you this incredible engagement session, brought to you by Ulysses & Jenni of Ulysses Photography.

Gina & Michael are the sweetest couple you’d want to meet. Both of them have an avid interest in music and even attended school in upstate New York to study music. So, with two lovely and artistically inclined people in our lenses, we positively could not go wrong! Since Gina was already out of school since December, and Michael still has a few months to go, they hadn’t seen one another in some time. So the easy chemistry between them was wonderful to see, making them very natural. The camera just loved them, and so did we. We had a real blast and can’t wait to show them the complete gallery of photos, which will be available very soon in the “Client Proofs” area of our main website.

For now, here is one of our favorites from their e-session. Once the complete gallery is available, we’d love to hear your comments about some of your own favorites. To do so, just click on the “Comments” icon immediately below this blog entry. 🙂

Our trip through Paris will resume on the morning of February 18. 😉

  • Ulysses - Some additional info on this photo: We love shooting in infrared (IR). We often use it a little differently than many photographers in that I don’t really care if we have a lot of foliage around (which is usually viewed as the ideal circumstances for shooting IR… of course the dead of winter will leave us short on foliage). For me, an IR camera is just another camera, and I love its dreamy effect on faces.

In this particular photo, I loved the soft and yet playful look in Gina’s eyes, which just seem to pull you into the emotion of the photo. And yet it’s still a private moment, as Michael seems almost unaware that someone else is looking in. The closeness between them is beautiful.February 19, 2007 – 10:14 AM
