Elissa + Brian’s Wedding at The Garrison

Elissa had us smiling as soon as we arrived. Plus we  love a girl in Badgley Mischka + Jimmy Choo. She looked incredible! Elissa + Brian enjoyed exactly the sort of wedding day they had dreamed about — a perfect November day full of sunshine, with breathtaking views of the Hudson River and valley, surrounded by the warmth and closeness of all their friends and family that meant the most to them. A basket of pashminas provided everyone with a little extra encouragement to brave the slight nip in the air as Elissa & Brian spoke their heartfelt handwritten vows to one another. Homemade wine made perfect favors for everyone to take home and reminisce on the day. We had a remarkable time with them, made even more special by the fact that we got to see two of our favorite couples again (Kimberly + Eric, as well as Annie + Jason) along with lots of familiar faces.

The complete gallery will be available soon in the “Boutique” area of our main website. Until then, we’d love to hear your comments below. And please be sure to click the button to “Recommend” us to your friends!

  • Ulysses - Hahahah! Elissa you are absolutely TOO MUCH! But that’s exactly the way we like you, so don’t ever change. 🙂 We’re over the moon at the fact that you’re so in love with your photos. The day contained so much heart, and we can’t tell you how much we enjoyed seeing your focus being on so many of the people there. I know everyone always hears that “it’s about the bride”. But you’re one of those rare individuals who really makes things about the people you love most in your life. Can’t wait to get a look at your album choices soon!December 16, 2011 – 11:19 AM

  • Elissa - Annie – do your thing girl but no matter how many friends you clone or steal or borrow… promise me I will ALWAYS be your bestest friend ever!

Ulysses and Jenni – We are having serious issues with weeding out which pictures to put in our album. Every time I think we’ve made our final decision… I can’t seem to let go of some of the others that weren’t chosen. Ahhh…what is a girl to do with so many great pictures!December 15, 2011 – 5:15 PM

  • Ulysses - Awww, Annie, thank you so much!! It really means a lot to have you come back and leave a comment here. We loved every minute with Elissa + Brian, from the morning fun and energy of seeing you girls get prepared to our final photo with them, where she took a flying leap into Brian’s arms on the couch. When you have this kind of long history with two people, it makes the day that much more enjoyable. It was so great seeing you and Jason again and FINALLY getting my own “T-time” with your little princess. 🙂

Annie, we LOVE your friends! Do whatever you have to do — beg, plead, borrow, steal some more friends. Clone them if you have to! We believe in you, Annie! LOL! But seriously, thanks for raving about us to others the way you do. Word of mouth referrals are our favorite means of finding more portrait & wedding clients. Hope to see you two again sometime soon. 🙂December 14, 2011 – 9:23 PM

  • Annie - U & J,
First of all, it was so great seeing you both and being able to hang out with you at another one of my friend’s weddings! Your photos retell every amazing part of Elissa and Brian’s day! They did such a great job of planning such a beautiful celebration and you guys captured each and every moment (even if it meant rolling around on the floor or whatever it took to get that perfect shot)! 🙂

    I’m a little upset…. I’m running out of single friends—– aaahhhhh!!!! What are we going to do!?!?!??December 14, 2011 – 9:04 PM

  • Ulysses - Oh man, Elissa, this is one best things I’ve read all day! Thank you SO MUCH for such incredible compliments and kind words. We had more fun with you and Brian than anyone probably has any right to have. LOL! But I think it’s partly because we’ve now known one another for so long, it gave a lot of meaning to see so many familiar faces there, and to know what your vows before everyone truly meant to one another. It all started and ended there for us throughout every phase of the day. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for allowing us to do what we love on the day of your wedding. We’re so happy to know you’re in love with your photos. 🙂November 28, 2011 – 7:27 PM

  • Elissa - Although I was so sad for our fabulous honeymoon to be over, the one thing I was most excited to return home to see was the results of all of your incredible talents!! (Most computers don’t have Adobe Flash in Tanzania and most of the safari camps don’t have computers anyways). 🙂

Even before Brian and I were engaged, there was one thing we were certain of — that you two would be our wedding photographers! We have both been so lucky to have witnessed your work before our own big day, and this made our decision way too easy. Besides being the best photographers EVER!!!, you two are so much fun to be around. You have such a great energy and it is so contagious! These pictures are awesome!! You guys rock!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!November 27, 2011 – 3:34 AM
