Anna & Javier, thank you SO MUCH for spending the time with us. What an amazing session we had with you! You are each beautiful people. Your affection and passion for one another shows so clearly. It’s going to be such an amazing privilege to photograph your wedding day at Round Hill.

They both prepared well for the session by getting gorgeous makeovers by Marisa Verdi (whom our faithful readers already know about), so all that was left was to bring out some of their fun personalities. Jen’s lovable companion, Sophie, was so cute and had no problem getting in on the action, too. We needed a team that was completely on board with what we had in mind for the day, so we couldn’t have been more excited than to have Kimberly & Eric join us as models for the afternoon. Makeup and hair designs were by Mari, who we also absolutely LOVE and can’t say enough good things about. We were each ready to go!

Although it was a busy day for her shop, Erica helped us find a gorgeous gown to work with, and then we began our session. We were thrilled with the results seen below:

It was a day for walking and window shopping, and Kimberly had brought a change of clothing and shoes. So once we left the shop, we decided to enjoy the afternoon with a walk down Main Street ourselves, taking advantage of this gorgeous day for shooting an incredible couple.

Kerri and Nick don’t stand on tradition, so after the ceremony we headed to a nearby restaurant for clams on the half shell in honor of Kerri’s dad - it was his favorite place to eat. We then went to the scenic Hoboken waterfront for pictures, after which the party continued all evening at the Hyatt Morristown. Kerri and Nick, we hope you’re having a wonderful time now on your honeymoon!

There are lots of bridal blogs out there. But I have to say that one of the most impressive and stylishly-created resources available for brides is the Style Me Pretty site. When I first saw it, I was so excited to see their depth of coverage on various topics like choosing your color palette, unique fashion and presentation, how-to ideas, paper goods, inspiration boards, and so many other areas related to your wedding. Another great feature is their Little Black Book, an exlusive “one-stop source for the best wedding vendors in your city.” Ulysses and I are especially honored and totally excited to have been selected for inclusion in their short list of photographers for the Lower Hudson Valley of New York.

The Style Me Pretty site is also listed in Martha’s Circle, which is Martha Stewart’s own short list of favorite blogs to visit. How are you? How is Ulysses??? How is everything? Before I get into my question, I just needed to tell you that I look at my pictures every day, and every day that I look at them I love you guys more and more and I just wanted to thank you again from the bottom of my heart for capturing the most amazing pictures on my wedding day. I have come to realize I am a girl of many expressions, and I find that cool

Now to my question, I am in a huge conflict with myself and I really can’t pick out my Thank you’s. You guys make it impossible to choose

So, here are the ones I am torn between, and let me know if you have any suggestions, as well.

I honestly didn’t know where to begin choosing - we loved so many of their photos. But there will be LOTS more beauty and fun to be enjoyed in their complete galleries, available soon in the “Client Proofs” area of our main website.

Anna met us at Vivian & John’s home, and she brought along with her a few really cute changes of clothing so we’d have some fun and variety with the session. Not that it was needed - she and Jonathan are a complete blast together and made the shooting so much fun. They kept changing it up for us and were completely uninhibited in front of the camera.

Anna & Jonathan, we captured so many different looks for you, and I think you’re going to be completely blown away by how gorgeous you look. It was a complete joy to photograph the two of you again. I’ll be placing up another teaser to show a random selection of images from the entire day of shooting. Look for it soon!

Their lovely home served as the backdrop for all of our shooting. We could hardly believe Vivian has only another month to go before delivering their baby boy. She’s in great shape and feeling well, with the same beauty and grace that we loved about her from the time we first met them.

Vivian & John, we are so incredibly thankful to know you, and we share in the joy of your growing family. You both did a wonderful job. It felt just like old times photographing you again. We’ve known Kimberly for a few years now (having photographed several of her friends’ weddings). So as you can imagine, we’re jazzed about getting together again with this exciting couple for their wedding at the beautiful Catlin Gardens later this year.

We like to hear from you about what excites YOU about what you’re reading and seeing, how your own wedding plans are coming, something really interesting you saw or read on the topic of wedding fashion or design, or anything else you’d like to relay to us and our readers. We want the experience here to be interactive, so you’ll often see us mention that you can leave a comment here on the blog. But how do you do that?

At the top of every blog entry, right underneath the entry’s title, you’ll see a little icon that looks like this (only a lot smaller ).

If you click that, it will take you to all the other comments that have been made by your friends & family, other brides, and other photographers reading our blog. At the very bottom of that page is a blank text entry box just waiting for you to type your own comments. When you’re done, click the SUBMIT button to send your note to us!

Let’s take a blog entry like Girls Getting Gorgeous! This entry contains eight images for your enjoyment. Now, you could click on each thumbnail to open a larger image, and then click on the word “Close” to remove that larger image when you’re done. Navigating the entire batch of eight images this way would take you 16 clicks.

But try this instead: Click on the first image you want to see larger. Hover your mouse over the right side of the image. You’ll see a tab that says “Next” if there is another image to follow. If you hover your mouse over the left side of the image, you will see a tab that says “Prev” if there is an image previous to this one. And of course, there is the usual “Close X” tab at the bottom right-hand corner of the image. Using this navigation method would take you only nine clicks to see the entire set of images. (Are you now nodding your head knowingly?)

Alternately, you can use your keyboard to navigate the images. Click on any image to open a larger version. Then use the following keyboard keys:

P = Previous photo
N = Next photo
X = Close photo

I hope this helps especially any of you who work a lot at the computer and might have concerns about repetitive stress injuries. We have a LOT of pictures to show you, and we don’t want you to tire out while viewing them!

The view of the lake was beautiful on this early spring day. And being able to walk around the lake towards a sandy beach-like area added to the variety of their photos. They had a great time, and we had a blast getting to know them better. The e-session was filled with the entire range of expression running from pure fun and silliness to their genuine love for one another. Great session, Kerri & Nick! Thank you for spending an afternoon with us. We can’t wait to show you the rest, and we think you’ll be amazed seeing how great you two were together.
